Anita Samarth is CEO and Co-Founder of Clinovations Government + Health with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare and technology industries. Anita brings extensive on-the-ground experience in implementation of EHR, HIE, PACS, and data analytics technologies in the health system, hospital, and ambulatory practice settings at over 100 organizations.

She is author of Interoperability for Dummies and the co-author of Electronic Health Records for Dummies (both from Wiley Publishing). She serves on the Board of Directors of Costs of Care, a non-profit focused on clinician-facing value transparency. She was honored by the Washington Business Journal with a “2013 Minority Business Leader Award” and subsequently with a “2013 Women Who Mean Business Award”.
Manan Trivedi, MD, MPP

Manan Trivedi is Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Clinovations Government + Health. Dr. Trivedi is an Internal Medicine Physician, Iraq war veteran, health policy researcher and former US Congressional candidate with over 15 years of leadership in academic, military, and political settings.

Dr. Trivedi brings experience as a Navy Battalion Surgeon, in-depth knowledge of VA operations as a former health services research fellow at the Greater Los Angeles VA, and hospitalist and urgent care physician – practicing part-time at DC and PA area hospitals, including Kaiser Permanente. His EHR experience includes Epic, Cerner, McKesson, CHCS/AHLTA, and VistA. He is a founder of Battleground Health, an organization focused on solutions to improve the health of military and veteran families.

Edna is currently supporting projects with ONC and CMS in the areas of stakeholder engagement and clinical quality measure (CQM) governance.

Robert (Bob) YenchaStandards and Interoperability SME
Bob Yencha is a technology and standards expert with more than 25 years of experience. He has been leading semantic interoperability in health care since 2005 in a number of roles for the US healthcare and government initiatives, including HITSP and HL7.

Bob is the co-author of the CDA and CCD Quick Start Guides and the co-editor of HL7 Implementation Guides for laboratory exchange and Consolidated CDDA.
Alan Viars, MS, MBASenior Developer, Technical Architect
Alan Viars is senior developer and technical expert specializing in RESTful APIs and non-relational database access. He also leads supporting ONC, NIST, and the Direct community in operating a certificate authority and conducting server configuration and testing.

Alan recently completed an HHS Entrepreneur-in-Residence position with CMS architecting redesign of a system that manages nationwide provider information.

Rocio Payne currently serves as the Clinical Lead and Operations Manager for the DC Regional Extension Center for Health IT (eHealthDC) and serves as a clinical advisor and workflow specialist for Clinovations GovHealth projects. She has over 15 years medical experience, including four years in a supervisory/administrative capacity.
Nicole Kemper, MPH
Nicole Kemper, MPHManager - Quality Measurement
Nicole Kemper has 10 years of experience in strategic EHR implementation, technology testing and certification, quality improvement initiatives, and public health. Nicole’s key area of focus is in ensuring rigorous attention to providers’ capacity for implementation, adoption, and effective utilization of eCQMs, with an eye to data collected in EHRs and leading to a robust measurement of services and outcomes for patients.

Fatema Rafiqi has over 10 years of healthcare experience ranging from life sciences to clinical research and health IT capabilities. Dr. Rafiqi brings experience in using health IT to improve the ability to manage care delivery and measure quality. Recently, Dr. Rafiqi assisted the Federal Government in efforts to develop a robust infrastructure to validate and implement impactful research and innovations in the field of health IT.
